In Konkan this crop is grown in large scale. In summer nuts are separated from Cashew Apple immediately after the harvest. Cashew apple is used in making Cashew Syrup or distilled spirit Cashew Feni. While Cashew nut is processed in two ways, either drum roasted or by steaming method. Hands do shelling. These cashews are graded, packed and exported worldwide.
